Derby’s Alstom has emerged as a beacon of excellence in the rail industry, recently celebrating a notable double win at the RailStaff Awards and the Heart of Gold Awards. These prestigious accolades honored Alstom for its landmark event, The Greatest Gathering, a record-breaking assembly of trains held in August 2025 at their Litchurch Lane works. The organizing committee of The Greatest Gathering secured the Project Team Award at the RailStaff Awards 2025, while they also received the Star Team Award at the Heart of Gold Awards officiated by notable figures including Pete Waterman OBE. “Winning multiple honours at this year’s RailStaff Awards is a fantastic achievement for Alstom and a real testament to the talent and dedication of our people,” commented Rob Whyte, Managing Director of Alstom UK and Ireland.
